Godrevy is at the far eastern end of St Ives Bay, and is famed for
its lighthouse on an
island, and the seals who breed just round the corner.
Like most Cornwall beaches on the North coast it can also be good for surfing -
usually for learners, but on this Sunday evening in July, for serious surfers too.
The lighthouse is almost certainly the one in Virginia Woolf's book "To the lighthouse" - a riveting read - for some, maybe?
